Digital Radiography
Our advanced digital x-ray units produce fast, high quality digital images. Digital radiography is available at both our Stafford Heights and North Lakes hospitals.
Ultrasonography
Ultrasonography offers a non-invasive examination of internal structures using soundwaves. We have multiple, state of the art ultrasound units available at both our Stafford Heights and North Lakes hospitals.
Computed Tomography (CT)
Our Stafford and North Lakes facilities both have advanced CT machines that allow quick detailed scans to help diagnose a variety of internal abnormalities. CT uses x-ray technology to produce cross-sectional images. Our brand new Siemens CT units enables 3D imaging of all body parts in a rapid and detailed fashion.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
MRI is a non-invasive modality that uses a magnet and radio frequency waves to produce three-dimensional imaging of internal structures.
We have a brand new Siemens Magnetom Sempra 1.5T MRI at our Stafford Hospital. This machine is the same kind of machine that is used for imaging people and ensures that we are able to obtain the best possible images of our patients.
The scanner is run by our two radiographers who have a combined 50 years in clinical human imaging.
Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a non-surgical procedure that allows the veterinarian to examine the digestive tract. Different types of scoping include, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, arthroscopy, cystoscopy, rhinoscopy and thoracoscopy. Endoscopy is available at both our Stafford Heights and North Lakes hospitals.
Laparoscopy
Minimally invasive surgery or keyhole surgery is performed through small incisions in the skin whereby the use of a rigid laparoscope attached to a light source is inserted to view the abdominal cavity. Laparoscopy is available at both our Stafford Heights and North Lakes hospitals.
Arthroscopy
An arthroscope is used to visualise areas of interest inside a joint without the need of a large surgical incision. Common procedures include, treatment of meniscal injuries in knees, OCD lesions in the elbow, hock, shoulder or knee, fragmentation of the coronoid process in the elbow. Arthroscopy is available at both our Stafford Heights and North Lakes hospitals.
Ligasure
Ligasure is the latest technology in vessel sealing systems, that allows the surgeon to ligate vessels and fuse vessel walls to create a permanent seal. This revolutionary technology significantly decreases the surgery and anaesthetic time of our patients and greatly reduces inflammation, pain and bleeding. Ligasure is available at both our Stafford Heights and North Lakes hospitals.
Lab Suite
Our hospital is fitted with a full laboratory suite, which allows us to offer a large number of in-house testing, with quick turnaround time for results.
Intensive Care Unit
Our intensive care unit is staffed 24/7 by highly skilled professionals and offers the highest quality care for critically ill/injured patients.
